General Information

  • All fabric needs to be washed in hot water.

  • Sew around the edge of the quilt before attaching binding

  • Do not use cotton batting

  • Quilts should be at least 36 inches x 36 inches square.

Four Patch - finished size 36" x 36"

Cutting directions:

  • 3 6-1/2" strips (cut into 18 6-1/2" squares)

  • 3 strips of two fabrics 3-1/2" wide

  • batting and backing 38 to 40 inches square

  • binding 4 - 3" strips

Piecing Directions:

Use Easy Peasy Four Patch directions to make 6-1/2 four patches (Fons & Porter's)  September/October 2006

  • sew 6-1/2" in squares and four patches together (6 across and 6 down)

  • stack top, batting and backing

  • quilt

  • bind

6" squares 56

5-1/4" squares 64

4-1/2" squares 100

 

Bricks and Blocks

4-1/2 x 2-1/2 brick size

2-1/2 x block size

Alternate: block, brick, block brick

Next row: brick, block, brick, block

Continue in alternating rows
