Almond Puff Pastry by Marcy Williams

 

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter OR MARGARINE
Mix together until crumbly then add
3 tbspn. cold water
Mix until pastry holds together in a ball.
Separate into 2 balls, pat each onto an ungreased cookie sheet... 4x10
rectangle.

1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
Bring to full rolling boil. Remove from heat. Add
1 cup flour all at once.
Stir vigorously and becomes a ball. Add
1 tbspn Almond extract. Add
3 eggs all at once. Beat with a spoon until it is smooth and shiny. It takes a
few minutes for this step.
Spread this mixture onto crust. A few hills and valleys makes an attractive pastry.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown.

Glaze
1-1/2 - 2cups confectioners sugar
2 tbspn milk
1 tsp. almond extract
